30 Jahre INTERKULTUR und die 10. Ausgabe der World Choir Games wurden 2018 mit den allerersten World Choir Games in Afrika gefeiert.
Der weltweit größte internationale Chorwettbewerb brachte 16.000 Teilnehmer von Amateurchören aus 60 Nationen in 28 Wettbewerbskategorien, zahlreichen Freundschaftskonzerten und großen Gesangsprojekten zusammen.
Zum Verantwortungsbereich als lokaler Direktor gehörten Unterkunft, Verpflegung, Transport, Zugangskontrolle, Sicherheit und der JOC (Joint Operating Committee).

Das Mozart-Jahr, 27. Januar – 5. Dezember 1991
Der österreichische Komponist Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wurde 1756 in Salzburg geboren. Als Wunderkind am Klavier ging er bereits als Sechsjähriger gemeinsam mit seiner Schwester Maria Anna auf Konzerttournee nach München. Er schrieb mit neun Jahren seine erste Oper und wurde als 13-Jähriger Konzertmeister beim Erzbischof von Salzburg. 1781 siedelte er nach Wien über, wo er ein Jahrzehnt später mit gerade 35 Jahren starb. Insgesamt über zehn Jahre hat der junge Mozart auf Reisen durch Europa verbracht und dabei an rund 200 Stationen Halt gemacht. Allein dreieinhalb Jahre dauerte die Europareise, die die Familie Mozart 1763 antrat. Wolfgang Amadeus war sieben Jahre alt, als die Familie von Salzburg aus aufbrach. Mit Deutsch als Muttersprache lernte er wie damals üblich Latein, auch Französisch, Italienisch und etwas Englisch. Mozarts musikalisches Gesamtwerk umfasst nach heutigem Wissen rund 1060 Titel. Im Mozartjahr 1991, zum 200. Todestag Mozarts am 5. Dezember 1791, fanden allein in Salzburg und Wien jeweils mehrere hundert Konzerte statt. Recherchen in historischen Dokumenten und der persönlichen Korrespondenz des Komponisten erlaubten mir eine Rekonstruktion wichtiger Reisen durch Europa und die unterwegs besuchten Orte. Dadurch war es möglich, Veranstaltungen, historische Nachstellungen, Konzerte und Aufführungen an ihren originalen Orten zu kreieren, z.B. im Kloster Strahov in Prag. Außerdem Mitwirken am Buch „Auf den Spuren Mozarts“.
